According to The Wall Street Journal source familiar with the situation, this dependence is connected with the fact that Ford intends to invite the applicant to Volvo, which had lost the battle for the Opel and the British "sister" Vauxhall. According to the interlocutor edition, Ford wants to determine the adequacy of the value of the Swedish automakers, on the basis of the conditions of the transaction, which will conclude with a buyer GM Opel.
